Stephen Frederico is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine applying into neurological surgery, driven by a long-standing interest in brain tumor immunotherapy. His research focuses on how immune and metabolic mechanisms shape tumor behavior and treatment resistance, with an emphasis on developing novel therapeutic strategies for aggressive brain tumors.
He is also the founder of AdmitMD Consulting, a boutique medical school admissions consulting firm composed of former admissions committee members and experienced advisors. Through their team, AdmitMD has helped applicants gain acceptance to top U.S. medical schools, including Harvard, NYU, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Stanford, Northwestern, the University of Pittsburgh, Washington University in St. Louis, and Vanderbilt.
Stephen also serves as a professional speaker for the Folds of Honor Foundation, sharing stories centered on service, resilience, and purpose. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the International Student House of Washington, DC, supporting its mission of advancing intercultural dialogue and global citizenship.
He earned a Master of Medical Science from Harvard Medical School and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University following his time at The College, and is a proud member of the College of Charleston Class of 2019.
