August 2020
1970
Anita Condon van de Erve retired from her position as CofC Athletic Fund Executive Director after serving in that position for many years. She resides in Charleston, SC, and has two grandchildren, Jack and Elizabeth.
1972
Bobbie Miller Hendrix has been appointed Chair, Durham County Hospital Corporation Board of Trustees for the 2020-2021 year. Ms. Hendrix also serves on the Duke University Health System Board of Directors. She resides in Durham, NC, and has four grandchildren: Harrison, Mary, Lucy, and Clara.
1975
Gregory Phelps is the Chief Medical Officer for Alleo Health System/Hospice of Chattanooga. He earned his MD from MUSC, his MPH from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and his MA from Aquinas Institute of Theology at St. Louis University. Dr. Phelps recently had his first book published by Parson’s Porch Press titled Education of a Hospice Doctor. It is a memoir about returning to fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at the age of 55. He and his wife, Gayle, reside in Chattanooga, TN.
1988
Phyllis Nickas Gates recently retired after 30 years of teaching. Ms. Gates spent the past 28 years teaching at the Miles Early Childhood Development Center at CofC. She and her husband, Michael, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
1989
Linda Ramball Jones is starting her 25th year of teaching at CofC this fall. Ms. Jones is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the College. She and her husband, Craig, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC, and have three sons.
1994
Jason Tinurelli is the Chief Marketing Officer of Genesis Financial Solutions based in Beaverton, OR. Mr. Tinurelli has been in the banking industry for over 25 years. He resides in Austin, TX, with his husband, Jay Marcotte.
1995
Brian Bolchoz is the Deputy Director of the South Carolina Department of Corrections with over 24 years of law enforcement experience. Mr. Bolchoz is a member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association, the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, and the South Carolina Correctional Association. He was awarded the 2019 Strom Thurmond Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement in November. Mr. Bolchoz resides in Columbia, SC, with his wife, Laura Campbell Bolchoz ’95.

Caren Garrett Sibley is a Technical Writer/Action Officer for Janus Research Group and resides in Newport News, VA.
1999
Tony Boyce is the Pastor at Mt. Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Dr. Boyce released his first children’s book, Alden and April Learn About the Coronavirus, which is about children learning about their health, safety, and hope in a changing world. He and his wife, Schevelle Thomas Boyce ’02, reside in Piedmont, SC, with their two children, Jillian and Antonio. To order Dr. Boyce’s book online, visit the Barnes and Noble website.
Andres Cladera is the General and Artistic Director of Opera Steamboat in Steamboat Springs, CO. Mr. Cladera holds a Master of Music degree in orchestral conducting from Carnegie Mellon University (2003). In 2007, he received the Outstanding Young Conductor Award from the Association of Choral Directors of America. Mr. Cladera resides in Saint John, IN, with his husband, George Kacenga, PhD.
2000
April Orvin Borkman is the Director of Operations for the EMPOWERR Program at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC. Ms. Borkman is the co-chair of the Charleston Health Advisory Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for Fact Forward. In addition, she is an adjunct professor at CofC teaching human sexuality. Ms. Borkman earned her MA in clinical counseling from The Citadel in 2006. She and her husband, Ray Borkman ’99, reside in Charleston, SC.
2001
Patrick Gegen is an Associate for Hickok Cole Architects in Richmond, VA. He earned his master’s in architecture in 2005 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mr. Gegen recently completed the interior design for the Quirk Hotel in Charlottesville, VA, in collaboration with ArchitectureFirm. The hotel was published in the May 2020 issue of Architectural Record. He and his husband, Mitch, reside in Richmond, VA.
Greg Mills competed in the Iditarod Trail Invitational in March and skied 350 miles from Anchorage to McGrath, AK, where he was awarded 2nd place. Mr. Mills resides in Anchorage, AK and is a Master Brewer.
Melanie Simon Snipes is a Realtor with eXp Realty in Charleston, SC. She resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Dirk, and their two children, Brady and Lauren.
2003
Corrinne Forte Barnes and her husband, Christopher, welcomed their first daughter in June. Ava Maria Barnes joins her big brothers, Flynn and Fields. The Barnes family resides in Charleston, SC.
Dianne Price recently entered the civil service working as a Program Officer in the Africa Programs Branch of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for the US Department of State in Washington, D.C. Ms. Price earned her MEd in international higher education from Loyola University Chicago in 2017. She resides in Arlington, VA.

Sammy Prior is the Branch Manager for Republic Finance in Albany, GA.
2005
Cat Anthony-Gonzalez Harmon recently joined the Horizon Foundation in Columbia, MD, as the Director of Communications. Ms. Harmon is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor by the National Council of Behavioral Health and was named as one of the top trainers in the country in 2016. She earned her MPS in corporate communications and public relations from Georgetown University in 2010. Ms. Harmon resides in Columbia, MD, with her husband, Kyle, and their three children, Dominique (7), Preston (5), and Julius (3).
2006
Stephen Osborne and wife, Grace Toland Osborne ’11, welcomed their daughter, Olive Grace, in July. The Osborne family resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Emily Shalosky Shelley and husband, Neil, welcomed their third child, Ada Shelley, to the family in June. Ada joins older siblings, Annie and Abe. The Shelley family resides in Charleston, SC.
2007
Ken Boggs has spent 32 years as a defense contractor designing, developing, producing, and repairing products beneficial for the Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, and the National Weather Service. Mr. Boggs is serving on the board for the Family Resource Center for Disabilities and Special Needs. He resides in Hanahan, SC, with his wife Denise. Mr. Boggs has four sons and one grandson.
Kati-Jane Hammet Childs earned her JD from the Boston University School of Law in May 2020. She lives in Providence, RI.
Shana Robinson Hannibal is an Assistant Principal for Rock Hill School District in Rock Hill, SC. Ms. Hannibal earned her MEd from Capella University in 2011, and her MEd in education administration from the University of South Carolina in 2017. She recently published a children’s book, Marek and Saniah’s Pirate Adventure, and a short story, Kareem, which is about a boy who loses his father to police violence. Both books are available on Amazon. She and her husband, Dwayne Hannibal ’04, reside in Charlotte, NC, with their two children, Marek and Saniah.

Shane Hall is a Senior Appraiser and Advisor for Pall Mall Art Advisors in Charleston, SC. Mr. Hall earned his MA in American fine and decorative arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York City in 2011. He is certified in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Mr. Hall resides in Charleston, SC.
Kourtney Jones is the new Membership Relations Manager for the Charleston Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau (CVB) in SC. Prior to joining the Charleston CVB, Ms. Jones worked for Interstate Hotels & Resorts and Aimbridge Hospitality as both a Senior Sales Manager and Task Force Sales Manager. She has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry in Charleston, SC.
Victoria Frank Peluso is an Author for Harper Collins Publications, based in New York City. Ms. Peluso recently published a children’s book called Teddy Spaghetti with Harper Collins Kids Division. She attended the French Culinary Institute and received her Classic Savory Degree in 2010. Ms. Peluso resides on Johns Island, SC, with her husband, Carmine, and their two children, Theodore and Dorothea.

Dom Grant Dom Grant is a Division Finance Manager for Davita in Malvern, PA. Ms. Grant is Scrum Fundamentals Certified and is a Project Management Professional. She currently serves as a Board Member for the New Economic Beginnings Foundation, Inc., and resides in Wilmington, DE.
Thomas Kilpatrick earned his LLM in taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law. He and his wife, Ashtin, reside in Columbia, SC.
2010
Annie DuPre-Reynolds is a Wildlife Trade Consultant for the Endangered Wildlife Trust in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ms. DuPre-Reynolds is also a freelance consultant. She earned her master’s degree in global policy studies from the University of Texas in 2015 and moved to South Africa shortly after graduating. Ms. DuPre-Reynolds lives with her husband, Ricky, outside of Johannesburg in South Africa.
Stephen Harden is an Associate Physician and Shareholder Track for Spectrum Healthcare Partners. He earned his MD from MUSC in 2014. Dr. Harden completed his anesthesiology residency at Yale in 2018 and a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2019. He lives in South Portland, ME, with his wife, Amber Reilly Harden ’10, and their two children, Benjamin and Elizabeth.
CJ O’Dell is an Inbound Sales Executive for BoomTownROI in Charleston, SC. He and his wife, Michelle Cooper O’Dell ’10, reside in Mount Pleasant, SC, and have one daughter, Collins.
2011
Adam Maslia is the Program Director of 2U, Inc., in Washington, DC. In July, Mr. Maslia is enrolling in the online MBA program at Rice University. He resides in Washington, DC, with his wife, Melissa.
2012
Aaron Blackshaw has been working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Blackshaw earned his MD from MUSC in 2016. He and his wife, Lauren Deasy Blackshaw ’14, reside in Mint Hill, NC.
Alexandra Goplerud Dixon is a Development Associate for Arch Grants in Saint Louis, MO. She and her husband, William, reside in Belleville, IL.
2013
Conor Bender is a Process Improvement Analyst for Southwest Airlines. He and his wife, Jacquelyn Sullivan Bender ’13, reside in Dallas, TX.
Tazz Clayton is the Superintendent of Brownstone Group in Charleston, SC. Mr. Clayton is studying construction engineering management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with plans to graduate with his master’s in engineering in 2021. He and his wife, Sharmaine Waiters Clayton ’97, reside in Charleston, SC, with their two children, Jordan and DeShawn.
Brittany Redwitz is an Assistant Store Manager for Pottery Barn in Tampa, FL.
Whitney Dilliard Sanborn is a Quality Assurance Manager for Chief based in New York City. Ms. Sanborn served on the board for Best Buddies Washington while living in Seattle from 2018-2019. She assisted in planning a Champion of the Year Gala to raise the $250k needed to open a state office in Washington. Ms. Sanborn resides in North Charleston, SC, with her husband, David.
2014
Alex Jessmore is a Resident Physician at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Jessmore earned a DO from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in May and resides in Peoria, IL.
Ian Johnson is a Procurement Manager for Asurion. He and his wife, Katie Johnson ’14, reside in Brentwood, TN.
Dan Klein is the Global Head of Business Development for Namogoo in New York City.
Bri Sanders earned her MS in nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in May and is working as a Dialysis Nurse. She resides in Baltimore, MD, with her spouse, Shannon.
Kelsey Yetsko is a Laboratory Technician with the University of Florida Whitney Laboratory Sea Turtle Hospital where she studies the genetics underlying a cancerous disease. Ms. Yetsko earned her MS in Biology from the University of North Florida in 2018. In June, she had her coral reef genetics research accepted for publication in “A Marine Ecology Progress Series”. Ms. Yetsko will be attending Florida International University in the fall and will be funded by the university graduate school’s Presidential Fellowship. She will be studying the genetics underlying environmental resilience in corals. Ms. Yetsko currently resides in Charleston, SC.

Laura Kate Anderson is the Marketing Specialist for the SC Department of Agriculture. She married Andrew McAllister in August 2019. The couple resides in Columbia, SC.
Michel’Le Cressman Cathey is an Experience Facilitator for the Junior Achievement of the Triad. She and her husband, Austin Cathey ’15, reside in Greensboro, NC.
Molly Dennis is the Director of Marketing for I.T. Works Recruitment Inc. in Atlanta, GA.
Allie Siciliano is the Marketing Manager for Charleston Magazine in Charleston, SC.

Trent Dickerson is the Regional Program Manager for Amazon in Atlanta, GA.
Addisen Green Spearman is a Customer Success Manager for ArtLifting in Boston. She and her husband, Peter Spearman ’15, welcomed their son, Irwin, in March 2019. The Spearman family resides in Medford, MA.

Elizabeth Bauer is the Group Rooms Coordinator at the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in San Francisco, CA. Ms. Bauer is completing the Business Analyst certificate from ECornell and is taking this time during quarantine to start writing her first book.
Shannon Doyle lives in Spartanburg, SC, and is a Registered Nurse for the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
Mike Gelber is the CEO and Co-Founder of AdHouse, an accessible and effective online digital advertising company for health care providers and doctors based in New York City. Mr. Gelber earned his certificate in full stack web development from Columbia University in April. He resides in Summit, NJ.

Cameron Cunningham is a Clinical Research Associate for Lucas Research and resides in Morehead City, NC.

Emma Gourdie is an Upper Elementary Teacher (Grades 4-6) for Charleston County School District’s Malcom C. Hursey Montessori School. She resides in North Charleston, SC.
