Elizabeth “Libby” Van Benschoten Buckley is retired from a career in the U.S. Air Force, where she served as Officer in Charge of hospital laboratories. Ms. Buckley resides in Tustin, CA. 

1982

Michael Allen is a Senior Tax Auditor at the City of Charleston. He and his wife, Tammy, reside in Charleston, SC. 

Dr. Ron “Ronnie” Cooper is a Senior Professor at the College of Central Florida and will retire from his teaching career in spring 2027. Dr. Cooper has authored five books, and his sixth is coming soon. He earned his MA in philosophy from the University of South Carolina in 1984 and his PhD from Rutgers University in 1990. He and his wife, Sandra, reside in Ocala, FL.

Elizabeth Asnip Ream is a Psychotherapist. She recently released her debut novel, Wreck: The Sinking of Rebecca Landry, and won the HNWA Award. Ms. Ream earned her MA in clinical psychology from Argosy University in 1997. She and her husband, Robert, reside in Tyrone, GA.

Kimberly Hair McElveen is an Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Chair of Pathology and Clinical Sciences at Mercer University School of Medicine. She and her husband, John, reside in Richmond Hill, GA. Ms. McElveen recently made a gift to the CofC Fund.

Michael “Scott” Steedley is an Artist, Designer, Permaculturist, and Founder of the International Center of Sustainability and EcoFreeCo LLC. Mr. Steedley resides part-time in Edisto Island, SC, and Costa Rica.

Melissa Hess Hummel is a Staff Physician and Medical Director at Rejuvenations Medical Spa and Three Rivers Medical Associates. Ms. Hummel earned her MD in internal medicine and sleep medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2000. She and her husband, Craig, reside in Lexington, SC. 

Stacey Livingston is a Program Manager at the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Livingston resides in Charleston, SC, with her son.

Morgan Zipperly recently completed a psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado at Anschutz and was awarded the 2026 Psychiatry Residency Compassion Award. Ms. Zipperly earned her PhD in dopamine-dependent transcriptional dynamics in striatal physiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2020 and her MD in 2021. She resides in Aurora, CO.

Rhett Dukes is a Client Service Manager at Empyrean Benefit Solutions. Mr. Dukes resides in North Charleston, SC. 

Madeline Voss Morris is a Mental Health Counselor. Ms. Morris earned her MS in general psychology from the University of Memphis in 2019 and her MS in clinical mental health counseling in 2023. She and her husband, Tim, reside in Clayton, NC. 

Diana Jones Voss was recently appointed Assistant Professor at Middle Tennessee State University. Ms. Voss earned her PhD in biomedical sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2020. She and her husband, Michael, reside in Murfreesboro, TN. Ms. Voss recently made a gift to the CofC Fund.
