A Charleston Affair will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 7-10 pm on the College’s main campus surrounding the Cistern Yard (6:30-10 pm for VIP locations). Hosted by the Alumni Association since 1900, this beloved tradition welcomes the College’s newest graduates into the alumni community. With about 3,000 alumni, graduating students, and guests expected to attend, your support as a volunteer is essential to making the evening a success. Attire is coat and tie or cocktail—think summer wedding or garden party. The evening will feature live music from Fantasy Band on the main stage in the Cistern Yard, along with plentiful food and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
– Some shifts will run from 5:45-8:15 pm (meet on campus at 5:30 pm).
– Some shifts will run from approximately 6:15-8:30 pm (meet on campus at 6 pm).
– We have a few shifts that run the second half of the event (8:15-9:45 pm), so you will get to enjoy the party from 6:30-8:15 pm. We only need a few staff for this shift.
Once your shift is over, you will get to enjoy the party as our guest until 10 pm. If you’d like to bring a guest, please purchase a GA guest ticket online here, while available.
Once we’ve finalized the details and numbers, we’ll follow up to confirm your role and shift time.
