Spiros Ferderigos was sworn in as Family Court Judge for the Ninth Judicial Circuit on Friday, June 26, 2020. The Honorable Spiros S. Ferderigos earned his JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003. He resides in Charleston, SC, with his wife, and their three children.

Mary Jane Connor is the new Creative Director for Bizzy Bizzy in Madison, WI. Ms. Connor earned her MA in art history from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2009. She married Corey Uselman in 2016. The couple resides in Madison, WI, with their son, Collins, and their puppy, Richard.

Dheepa Varadarajan Johnston and her husband, Ben Johnston, announce the birth of their second child, Nash Benjamin Johnston in April 2020. Nash joins big sister Neena Lillian Johnston. The Johnston family resides in Matthews, NC.

Jessica Forman Norwood is an Inside Sales Manager: Strategic Business Development for BMC Software in Cary, NC. Ms. Norwood is also the Owner and Founder of Knotty Girl Publishing, LLC, where she is the author of the Your Hair is Magic line of books. She resides in Wake Forest, NC, with her husband, Brandon Norwood ’05, and their two children, Aston and Roman.

Michael Reid (MS) is a Credit Risk Analyst for State Street Bank in Boston. Mr. Reid and his wife, Lydia, reside in Methuen, MA, and welcomed their son, Mason Reid, in January 2020.

Will Breard was awarded the Permanent Staff Member Award from the College in June. Mr. Breard is the Circulation and Shelving Manager at Addlestone Library on campus.

Erin Kee McGovern is the Director of Programs, Center for Benefits Access, for the National Council on Aging in Arlington, VA. Ms. McGovern earned her JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2011, and her LLM in agriculture and food law from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2013. Ms. McGovern and her husband, Conor, welcomed their first child, Frances, in July 2019. The McGovern family resides in Cheverly, MD.

John Nail is an Associate at the Atlanta law firm Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Tax Controversy Section. Mr. Nail earned his JD from Wake Forest University in 2014.

Sara Perry (MPA) has served as the Executive Director of Respite Care Charleston for the last two years. Respite Care Charleston is a nonprofit that provides support and services to those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Ms. Perry resides in Charleston, SC.

Laura Grantham is a GIS Technician for the City of Palm Bay in Florida. Ms. Grantham earned her MS in GIS and her MA in Classics both from the University of Arizona. She resides in Palm Bay, FL.

Lindsey Fisher (MS) is the new Chief Financial Officer of Peter Michael Winery in Calistoga, CA. Ms. Fisher married Chris Stowe in December 2019. The couple resides in Healdsburg, CA.

Charles Williams is a Portfolio Specialist for Fidelity Investments. Mr. Williams married Lauren Byrns in November 2017. The couple resides in Jacksonville, FL.

D. Sherwood Miler IV ’13 and Margaret Tanner Miler ’11 welcomed their first child, Daniel Sherwood Miler V, on September 19, 2020. Dr. Miler is a general practice dentist in Beaufort, SC, and Mrs. Miler is a certified physician assistant with Beaufort Memorial Lowcountry Medical Group.

Catherine Tapia is the Assistant Manager, Madewell & JCrew Denim Pre-Production & Development/Raw Materials in New York City.

Madeleine Westerhout published her first book, Off the Record, on August 11. The book is an account of her time working as President Donald Trump’s executive assistant in the White House. Ms. Westerhout resides in Washington, D.C.

2014

Meredith Looney Dantzler married Zach Dantzler in December 2018. Ms. Dantzler is the Assistant Principal for Anderson School District 3 in Iva, SC. She earned her MEd from Anderson University in 2016 and her EdS in administration and supervision from Clemson University in 2019. Ms. Dantzler was selected as the Starr Elementary Teacher of the Year 2019-2020 and the Anderson Distrcit Three Distrcit Teacher of the Year 2019-2020. She and her husband reside in Anderson, SC.

Amy Johnson Gerhardt was awarded first place in Women’s Portraits and second place in Men’s Portraits for state level competition through the South Carolina Professional Photographers Association. Ms. Gerhardt is the Owner and Lead Photographer for Pink Chair Photography, LLC, in Goose Creek, SC. She and her husband, Jerry, have two children and one grandchild.

Kesha Rainey works in the Global Trade Leadership Development Program at Raytheon Technologies. Ms. Rainey earned her MBA from West Texas A&M University in December 2019. Upon graduating, she launched her retail business, Simply Charmed Greek, which was established to nurture the bonds shared between sorority sisters across all Greek communities. Ms. Rainey resides in Rembert, SC.

Erin Day is a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Ms. Day received the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship which will fund her position for the next three years as she continues her bioinspired polymer research.
